About

Portrait of Alexia, known as Lex Rambler, artist and writer, photographed in a natural setting.

Alexia, known as Lex Rambler, was born in the southwest of France to a French father and a Spanish mother. Her life and work have been shaped by a sensitivity to inner life, place, and the quiet questions that accompany being human.

For many years, she lived across continents, spending a long period in Australia and moving nomadically through different cultures. This extended journey marked by walking, creation, listening, and long periods of attention deeply informed her exploration of the heart and its place at the center of human experience. In recent years, she returned to France to ground and integrate this lived path.

She is an artist and writer, devoted to an ongoing exploration of the heart and its role as the multidimensional center of the human experience. This work takes shape through Heartology, a living field of inquiry and remembrance.

At the core of her work is a simple gesture: creating conditions where something essential can be felt and remembered, without rushing to resolve or explain it. Her approach is grounded, relational, and attentive, offering space for honesty, nuance, and real presence.

Alexia lives in the French Basque Country (Pays Basque), where she founded “À Kœur Ouvert”, a walking-based space of accompaniment rooted in presence, movement, and heart-centered conversation. Through one-to-one and group walks, she invites people to slow down, let words find their rhythm again, and meet themselves more honestly, within their lives and the places they inhabit.

Her work does not seek to bypass the human experience, but to inhabit it more fully - with honesty, clarity, sensitivity, and meaning.
